What Our Patients Say About Us

These are a few of the people we got out of pain this month. If you're reading this in the middle of a toothache, you're in good hands.

"They saved my Saturday"

"Woke up Saturday with the worst toothache of my life. Called in the morning and they had me in the chair within an hour. The team was so calm and kind, and honestly I walked out feeling like a new person. Can't thank them enough."

"Made me feel zero shame"

"I hadn't been to a dentist in years and was honestly embarrassed to walk in. A back molar cracked on a popcorn kernel of all things. Everyone was so warm and there was zero judgment, just help. They fixed me up and I'm actually going back for the rest of the work."

J

Jessica R.

Encino, CA

"No surprise bills"

"I needed an extraction fast and was honestly nervous about the cost. They walked me through what my insurance covered, what I'd owe, and the payment plan options before doing anything. No surprises, no pressure. Really refreshing."

The 5 emergencies we see most in Encino.

Most dental emergencies fall into one of these buckets. If yours is on this list, you are in the right place. If you are not sure, call us and we will help you figure it out in about two minutes.

Dental Abscess

A puffy cheek, a bump on your gums that looks like a pimple, or a bad taste in your mouth that won't go away. That is an infection, and it can spread fast. We drain it, treat the source, and start antibiotics today. Please don't wait this one out.

Emergency Dentistry

The general "I don't know what this is but it hurts and I need help today" call. We keep slots open for this exact situation. Call us, describe what's going on, and we will get you in fast. Walk-ins are prioritized, and we have Saturday hours.

Emergency Tooth Extraction

Sometimes a tooth is too cracked, too decayed, or too infected to save. We pull it gently, with sedation if you want it, and walk through your replacement options before you leave the chair. Most patients say it was way easier than they thought.

Fractured and Broken Teeth

A chunk missing, a sharp edge cutting your tongue, or a crack you can feel with your tongue when you run it across. We can usually save the tooth the same day, smooth the rough edges, and either bond it or crown it so it looks like nothing happened.

Root Canal

Deep decay or an infection has reached the nerve, and that is why the pain is keeping you up at night. Modern root canals do not deserve their reputation. Most patients tell us it felt like getting a regular filling, and the relief is instant. Save the tooth, kill the pain.

Not sure what you need?

Call us. We will tell you in about two minutes whether you need to come in today, or whether it can wait a day or two. No pressure either way.

Dental Emergency FAQ

If it hurts, swells, or you're bleeding, don't wait it out. A knocked-out tooth, a bad infection, or a broken tooth that's keeping you up at night all count. We see people every day who waited too long, and it almost always makes things worse (and pricier). Give us a ring at (818) 783-1515 and we'll get you in the same day. Saturdays and evenings too.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Honestly, if it hurts bad enough that you're thinking about it, that's enough reason to call. The stuff we see most often:

  • A toothache that's keeping you up at night or getting worse
  • A swollen face or gums (that can be an infection, and infections don't wait)
  • A tooth that got knocked out, pushed loose, or cracked
  • A filling, crown, or bridge that fell out and is leaving a sharp edge or a hole
  • Bleeding that won't stop, or a cut inside your mouth
  • A sore on your lip or gums that just isn't healing
I just knocked out a tooth. What do I do?

You have a small window here, so move fast. Pick the tooth up by the top (the white part), give it a quick rinse if it's dirty, and try to slip it back into the socket. If it won't go, tuck it inside your cheek or drop it in a cup of milk. Whatever you do, don't let it dry out. Then call us right away. For a lost filling or crown, a bit of sugarless gum pressed into the spot will protect the tooth until you get to us.

How do I stop this from happening again?

A few simple things make a real difference. If you play sports, wear a mouthguard. Your teeth are not tools, so stop using them to open packages or bite tags off. Try not to crunch on ice, popcorn kernels, or hard candy. And the boring stuff actually works: brushing, flossing, and coming in for your regular cleanings keeps everything stronger so surprises are a lot less likely.

Do I need to call ahead or can I just walk in?

We do take walk-ins. But a quick call to (818) 783-1515 helps a lot. It lets us get a room ready, pull your info ahead of time, and have you seen faster. Especially when you're in pain, those few minutes on the phone can save you a long wait in the chair.

How much is this going to cost me?

We take most PPO insurance and we'll run your benefits before anything starts. No insurance? We work with Alphaeon, CareCredit, and Sunbit so you can break it into smaller payments. After we take a look, you'll get a clear breakdown of what every option costs. No surprise bills, no pressure to do anything you're not comfortable with.

I'm terrified of the dentist. Can you help with that?

Totally get it, and yes. Plenty of our patients would rather be anywhere else. We have sedation options that take the edge off, and we go at your pace. Our whole job in an emergency is to get you out of pain, not to push you through anything scary. You'll know what's happening before it happens, and we stop whenever you need us to.

I've never been to your office. Is that a problem?

Not at all. A lot of the people we see are new to us, in from out of town, or just looking for a second opinion. We'll focus on getting you out of pain first, and if you need follow-up, we can send the records to your regular dentist so nothing gets missed.

Are you open on weekends and evenings?

Yep. We have Saturday hours and stay open late on weekdays because toothaches have a knack for hitting at the worst times. Give us a call to see what's open today.
